AREAS OF USE
BEACH SAND
The sand-sized part of the ground marble is used as beach sand. Marble sand is widely used on the beaches of countries such as Italy, Spain, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
PAINT SECTOR
Micronised calcite is successfully used in many areas of the paint industry as a functional reinforcing material to increase the physical and chemical properties of the final product.
BUILDING CHEMICALS
It is used in tile and ceramic adhesives, joint mortars, surface hardeners, glass wool production, fibre reinforced precast production, gas concrete adhesive and plaster production.
ANIMAL FEED
Calcium carbonate is used as a filler in chicken and cattle feeds for bone and tooth growth of animals. It is an ideal additive for companies producing animal feed.
PAPER SECTOR
As an indispensable filling and coating pigment of the paper industry, it is used as a high amount of filler in coated paper pulp by adding a certain proportion to cellulose.
PLASTIC SECTOR
It is used as a filler in the plastic and rubber industry as it has durability, hardness, flexibility, strength, bending properties.
SANDBLASTING, JAMB SECTOR
Calcite is an additive that gives saturation (density) and appearance to the product. Calcite can be used in appropriate microns in the jamb sector to provide saturation in the product.
AGRICULTURE SECTOR
It is necessary to add Ca to the soil in order to get good products from the soil. Marble powder or limestone powder is used as fertiliser instead of Ca salts lost in cultivated soil.
GLASS SECTOR
Calcite is generally used as a stabiliser in bottle and window glass production as it increases the resistance of glass against chemical effects and lightens its colour.
